July Monthly Luncheon, featuring Kenny Alexopoulos of the Oklahoma Aquarium

The Jenks Chamber of Commerce’s July 12 luncheon will feature Oklahoma Aquarium Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director Kenny Alexopoulos as the guest speaker.

During the noon event, sponsored by the Oklahoma Aquarium and Sharklahoma, Alexopoulos will share the origin story of the Oklahoma Aquarium, milestones in its first 20 years of operations, and vision for the next decade.

Alexopoulos is a highly accomplished professional in the field of aquarium management and exhibit design. Moving to the region in June 2000 to design and open the Oklahoma Aquarium, he has been instrumental in its success and growth. 

Under his leadership, the Oklahoma Aquarium has achieved remarkable milestones, including generating the highest annual revenue in its history. His expertise extends beyond the aquarium's management as he actively contributes to exhibit and filtration design. 

He has played a pivotal role in developing and implementing new exhibits and expansions at the Oklahoma Aquarium, showcasing his creative vision and attention to detail. He is also responsible for designing life support systems that maintain the optimal environment for marine life.

The Chamber is encouraging younger participants to join in on the Sharklahoma fun, including the interactive July luncheon.

Sharklahoma, founded in 2019, is a joint effort between the Oklahoma Aquarium and the Jenks Chamber of Commerce, designed to enhance the celebration of sharks, the Oklahoma Aquarium, and Jenks, Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Aquarium is home to the largest bull shark collection in the world.

Cost to attend is $25 for members and $35 for non-members. Children under the age of 18 may register at a lower rate of $10.

Registration is available through Monday, July 10 by 5 p.m.
